Mason AI is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, work email address, company name, and job title. When you use the service, we collect usage data including pages visited, features used, and session length. When you upload plan sets to the platform, we temporarily store those files to process them and return results. We also collect standard device and browser information including IP address, browser type, and operating system.
How We Use Your Information
We use your account information to provide access to the service, send transactional emails, and respond to support requests. We use usage data to understand how the product is being used so we can improve it. We use uploaded documents solely to perform the plan review analysis you requested. We do not use your documents to train AI models for other customers or for any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.
Document and File Data
Plan sets and other documents you upload are processed on secure infrastructure and are not shared with other organizations. Documents are encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption. We retain uploaded files only as long as necessary to complete processing and to support your review workflow. Documents are automatically deleted within 30 days of project closure or account deletion, whichever comes first. You can request immediate deletion at any time by contacting hello@withmason.ai.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform, including cloud hosting providers, email delivery services, and product analytics tools. All service providers operate under confidentiality agreements and are permitted to use your data only to provide services to us. We will disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, and we will notify you to the extent permitted by law when that happens.
Data Retention
Account information is retained for the life of your account and for 90 days following a deletion request, after which it is permanently deleted. Uploaded documents are deleted within 30 days of project close or account deletion. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form for up to 24 months. You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time by emailing hello@withmason.ai.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your account and associated data. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. Cookies and Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog collects session data, page views, and user interaction events to help us understand how the product is used. This data is associated with a pseudonymous identifier, not your name or email. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can opt out of analytics tracking by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser settings or by using a privacy-focused browser extension. We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS for all data in transit, AES-256 encryption for data at rest, strict access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to hello@withmason.ai and we will investigate promptly.
Children
The Mason AI platform is intended for licensed professionals and is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact hello@withmason.ai.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
